Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an xBill account or using the xBill app, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use xBill.

2. What xBill Does

xBill helps you track and split shared expenses with friends and groups. xBill does not process payments. Any payments are made directly through third-party services or other methods outside xBill.

3. Your Account

You must be 13 or older to use xBill. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity under your account.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use xBill to harass others, submit false or misleading expense records, violate laws, interfere with the service, or bypass security controls.

5. User Content

You own the expense data, group names, comments, and other content you create. You grant xBill permission to store, process, and display that content as needed to provide the service.

6. Shared Expense Records

Expenses, splits, comments, and group records may involve multiple users. If one user deletes their account, some shared records may remain visible to other group members to preserve shared expense history.

7. No Financial Advice

xBill is an expense tracking tool only. Nothing in xBill is financial, legal, tax, or accounting advice.

8. Third-Party Services

xBill may link to or interoperate with services such as Sign in with Apple, email delivery providers, push notification services, exchange-rate providers, Venmo, and PayPal. xBill is not responsible for third-party services.

9. Service Availability

We aim to keep xBill available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Features may change, be added, or be removed over time.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, xBill and Vijay Goyal are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of xBill.

11. Changes to These Terms

These terms may be updated from time to time. Continued use of xBill after changes become effective means you accept the updated terms.
